The Bike Show and Concours

Bike Show and Concours

For 2019 our very successful Bike Show and Concours moved to the Ashburnham Cricket Ground. With this new, larger venue we were able to implement some new ideas for a bigger and better event with improved facilities and much more to see and do. The event didn't happen in 2020 or 2021 for obvious reasons but was back for 2022 and 2023.

The 2024 event will take place on:

Saturday 13th July 2024

Ashburnham Cricket Ground
Church Road  Ashburnham
 East Sussex  TN33 9NU

Direction signs will be in place to guide you from the A271 and the B2096 at Woods Corner

Open to the public 12 noon till 5pm

Entry fee £5 per person (children free)
or bring a bike to show and get free entry!

Profits will go to the St Wilfrid's Hospice and The Ashburnham Village Hall Fund

Free parking in the adjacent field

Just a few of the attractions you'll see:
  • Plenty of bikes to see – and you’re quite likely to hear some of them too!
  • Other club stands
  • Tombola stall
  • Food and drink available from the Cricket Pavilion - Ice Cream van too!
  • Motorcycle related autojumble
The event is open to any bike - or three wheeler - dating from the 1890s to the 1980s.

You are likely to see a wide variety of machines including:
  • Motorcycles, auto cycles, mopeds, scooters, specials - anyone got a chopper?
  • All makes and models - British, American, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, Czech - you name it....
  • Competition machines - race, sprint, speedway, grass, scrambles, trials - what have you got?
  • Two strokes, four strokes - maybe even diesel powered?
  • One, two, three and four cylinder engines - maybe six cylinder too?
  • Two and three wheels - conventional sidecars plus 'one at the front' and 'one at the rear' three wheelers
If you have anything which fits into the above categories, please bring it along!
If you have anything not mentioned above - please bring it along anyway!
Entry is free to anyone bringing a machine (or machines) to show
Ride in or bring via van or trailer - plenty of parking space
No pre-entry forms - just turn up on the day between 10 o'clock and midday and sign on
Open to everyone including non-VMCC members - all very welcome
REMEMBER - The emphasis is on this being a bike show rather than a concours show just for the bright, shiny machines (though there will be some of those too!). Whatever the condition of your bike, or bikes (the more the merrier) bring them along and enjoy the afternoon

PRIZES! PRIZES! PRIZES!
Bikes entered will be divided into four sections according to age.
Awards will be handed out as follows:
  • The winner in each section
  • The "least restored, most rideable pre 1960 machine"
  • The "most coveted machine" as voted for by the public
Results will be announced at 4pm

Want to sell some jumble? Or even a complete bike?
Space is available FREE OF CHARGE
(but if you have a successful day, please consider a contribution)
