Snow-Mann Test Day

Snow-Mann Test Day

2022 saw the return of our ever popular Snow-Mann Test Day at Bo-Peep near Selmeston after a couple of years hiatus due to the dreaded Covid. Open to VMCC members on bikes built before 1980 this hugely popular event gives participants an opportunity to ride their bike on a closed road. 2023 saw the event sell out with 55 entrants. The sun shone and a fantastic day was had by all.

The aim of the day is to be as consistent as possible, speed is not a factor. Each entrant completes 4 timed runs up the hill. The first run gives a target time, a point is then awarded for each second FASTER OR SLOWER each subsequent run is from the target time set on the first run. The winner is the person with the least points. Simple!

Please scroll down to see a selection of pictures taken on at previous events, if you were there at any of them and would like to see them added to this page please send them in to webmaster@eastsussexvmcc.co.uk.
The 2024 test day will be held on
Sunday April 28th

Entries are now sold out so please come along and enjoy the day as a spectator
Free to spectators

As well as being a great event for entrants the hill climb is also very popular with spectators. It offers a rare opportunity to see a wide variety of vintage and classic bikes being ridden all day rather than just a static display or a procession riding past once. There is a catering wagon on site supplying hot and cold drinks as well as a selection of burgers, hot dogs, bacon butties etc. Please feel free to come along and join in the fun.
