About

The East Sussex Section organises a wide variety of meetings and events to cater for anyone with an interest in vintage and classic motorcycles. You do not need to own a bike to come along - an interest really is all that’s required!

Below is an overview of what we have on offer, for more information on upcoming events, as well as a calendar of the entire year’s events, please see our Events page.
Meetings
Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month and regularly have 30 plus attendees. We are lucky in that we have our own exclusive club hut to meet in next door to an excellent country pub providing good food and quality local ales. In the winter months our club meetings alternate with ‘Natter Nights’ and ‘Event Nights’. These Event Nights might include a Bring and Buy, Film Show, Guest Speaker, Quiz, Bring Something Interesting, or anything else we might dream up! In the summer months, our meetings usually consist of an organised run of 30-40 miles to a country pub with the occasional ‘Natter Night’ in the club hut.
Runs
We enjoy a busy calendar of ride outs ranging from 15-20 miles round the local country lanes to all day runs of 100 plus miles going further afield. They take place on a mixture of summer evenings, midweek days, Saturdays and Sundays. We also have a couple of weekends away each year with an overnight B&B. They all include stops at pubs, cafes and places of interest as appropriate. With these runs we aim to offer something for everyone no matter what they ride, how far they wish to go or what their interests are. Details of these rides, including distances, types of road and destination will be published in advance to help you decide which ones you would like to take part in.
Socials
In addition to all this we also have a very active social calendar which includes Summer BBQ, Christmas Buffet, Chinese Meal and our Annual Dinner and Awards Evening. We even have our own Bike Show and Concours Day!
Charities
The East Sussex Section holds a number of events throughout the year in aid of local charities. We are always open to suggestions but a few of the charities we have raised money to support in recent years include:

If you buy your milk supplies in a plastic bottle please save all the bottle tops and bring them along to a club night. We pass them on to a group who send very large quantities for recycling with all proceeds going to support the Eastbourne District General Hospital.
