Snow-Mann Test Day

Open to VMCC members on bikes built before 1980 this hugely popular event gives participants an opportunity to ride their bike on a closed road. 2024 saw the event sell out with 55 entrants and, despite a wet start everyone we had an enjoyable and successful day.

The aim of the day is to be as consistent as possible, speed is not a factor. Each entrant completes 4 timed runs up the hill. The first run gives a target time, a point is then awarded for each second FASTER OR SLOWER each subsequent run is from the target time set on the first run. The winner is the person with the least points. Simple!

Please scroll down to see a selection of pictures taken on at previous events, if you were there at any of them and would like to see them added to this page please send them in to webmaster@eastsussexvmcc.co.uk.
The 2025 event will take place on Sunday 4th May
Free to spectators

As well as being a great event for entrants the hill climb is also very popular with spectators. It offers a rare opportunity to see a wide variety of vintage and classic bikes being ridden all day rather than just a static display or a procession riding past once. There is a catering wagon on site supplying hot and cold drinks as well as a selection of burgers, hot dogs, bacon butties etc. Please feel free to come along and join in the fun.
